BE A KNIGHT

The members of the Order are known as Knights of Rizal (Caballeros de Rizal or Maginoong Maka-Rizal).

The Qualifications for Membership and Exaltation are:

The By-Laws of the Order state: Any person of legal age, of good moral character and reputation, who believes in Rizal and is willing to learn more about him and follow his teachings, is eligible for active membership.
Membership application shall be made in writing, screened, and favorably endorsed by at least two (2) active members in good standing of the concerned Chapter Council and approved by the Supreme Council.
To further ensure the quality of prospective members, all knights to be initiated should have undergone briefing and an orientation seminar organized by the chapter, area, or region concerned.
All names of the Knights to be initiated as KR, together with those to be inducted as Chapter Officers (KOR) and to be exalted as Chapter Commander (KCR), should be submitted to the International Headquarters at least two (2) weeks before the proposed date of induction or elevation.
Additionally, before any Knight can be initiated, inducted, and exalted, he should have paid his fees and other assessments (such as the KOR uniform, medal, and certificate) to the International Headquarters. And most importantly, he should come in proper attire, in the Knights of Rizal uniform, during the assembly. If the new member has no uniform, he can wear a white Barong Tagalog, preferably in long sleeves, black pants, shoes, a belt, and socks. He should check with the office staff on the proper use of uniforms and medals. No one will be initiated, elevated, and exalted without the prescribed uniform.
